It's always the first thing I track when I watch videos of massively-boosted car acceleration videos. Of course, it's all worth it for sound and performance when you have enough money to comfortably modify your car's internals to this extent.

Common problem for e30s. I don't know whether it's poor connections or something in the gauge but mine jumps around from empty to full to somewhere in between at a whim. The range meter in the onboard computer always seems to work though.

It's essentially the same in all analog gauges of cars with extensively modified drive trains. That is a huge variation though; good to know!

Mine's not modified, it's just a common e30 issue. It's best not to rely on that gauge in many of these cars.
